Our National Sailing Centre is open, welcoming everyone to gain experience and have fun sailing.
As a sailor, we expect you to be responsible for yourself, equipment, environment and those around you. Demonstrate safe practises, ensure equipment & storage cleanliness, sparingly use water for washing boats and preserve all other privileges provided by Singapore Sailing Centre.
By observing, understanding and adhering to the terms and conditions as well as the rules and regulations stipulated in this document, serving to National Sailing Centre.
Terms and Conditions
These terms of agreements are valid from the agreement registered date until removal of the boat out from National Sailing Centre (NSC) premises.
1) Storage fees are payable in a block of 6 months (per term of the year (e.g: Jan-Jun’2020 or Jul-Dec’2020) ). Boat Storage fees are to be made 2 months in advance before commencement of the term.
2) Singapore Sailing Federation reserves its right to review and terminate the storage services if the payment is not made before the commencement of the term(s)
3) Sailors who are training with Singapore Sailing Federation (SSF) are entitled to store only ONE boat at our premises.
4) Sailors who have stopped training with SSF are to move their boat to the SailSmart storage and will be given ONE month to remove it from the National Sailing Centre.
5) The owner of a boat is solely responsible for all damages to the boat/equipment during the term of storage.
6) All boat owners or sailors who store their boat in the Open Storage area, must ensure that their boat covers are in good condition to prevent water collection and mosquito breeding. Any fines imposed by NEA will be
directed and charged to the boat owner(s) or sailor(s) accordingly.
7) Boat owners must not store any chemical waste, petroleum products or any goods that are illegal, inflammable, explosive, perishable or, in the opinion of Singapore Sailing Federation, that poses a risk to the property of any
persons or things.
8) Boat storage must be submitted together with a valid copy of the MPA boat licence with validity dates.
9) Unless renewed, at the end of the storage term(s), boat owner(s) are required to arrange for their boat to be removed from NSC storage. In the event where the boat owner(s) are unable to remove the boat immediately,
they are required to make an additional payment as follows:
1.The first block of 3 months: Equivalent to three months of boat storage fees.
2.Subsequent months: 3 times the monthly boat storage fee(s)
Once the boat has been removed from NSC, the balance of unused month(s) will be refunded.
10) SSF reserves the right to remove and dispose of the boat with prior notice given to the owner if the boat was left abandoned for more than six (6) months without any written approval by SSF.
11) Singapore Sailing Federation will NOT be held responsible or be liable for any loss or damages to any boats, fittings or equipment during the period of storage within the premises.
12) Singapore Sailing Federation has the right to amend Storage Fees with fourteen (14) days of prior written notification of variation to the respective boat owners. Should a boat owner object to paying any increase in storage fees by Singapore Sailing Federation, the boat owner shall give written notice to Singapore Sailing Federation within 14 days and remove the boat, equipment or personal belonging from the storage space or cabinet respectively.
Rules and Regulations
- Singapore Sailing Federation reserves the right to suspend or take further disciplinary actions if any sailor or any organisation is found to infringe on any of the rules and regulations
stated in this agreement. - Any sailor(s) or organisations who failed to comply/abide by the rules and regulations implemented by Singapore Sailing Federation will be given a stern warning or will be refrained from using the storage facilities at the National Sailing Centre.
- Any organisation or affiliate granted the approval by Singapore Sailing Federation to use the storage facilities or rental equipment will deem to be responsible for the conduct of their member(s) and it is mandatory to also make sure that their member(s) adhere/comply to SSF rules and regulations at all times.
Failure to comply with the above statement(s) will result in:-
- – First offence: Verbal Warning
- – Second offence: Issuance Letter of Warning by SSF
- – Third offence: Issuance Letter of Notification on Suspension of any activities according to the severity of the offence as deemed appropriate by the Disciplinary Committee
(Singapore Sailing Federation).

- If the storage fee is unpaid for more than 1 month on given notice, Singapore Sailing Federation reserves the rights to remove the boat, equipment or personal belongings from their storage rack/space or storage cabinet(s) to a Jail rack/space.
- Payment of storage fees entitles the sailor (who meet the requirements) to occupy only one (1) storage space per boat/craft or storage cabinet(s) assigned and approved by the Operation or Front Office staff.
- It is mandatory for all boat trolleys to be stored/kept at the designated space provided by SSF at all times after or before launching. Shall any trolley found unattended and not stored/kept at the allocated space provided will be transferred outside the storage premises (Bin Center) and SSF will not be deemed responsible or liable for any loss or damage due to infringement of these terms of the agreement stated.
- The SSF management reserves the right and authority to shift any boat(s) within the storage premises for safety purposes to support any activities/events conducted at the centre.
SAFETY POLICY AND STATEMENT
The overall aim of the safety statement and policies is to ensure that everyone at our National Sailing Center can enjoy and experience the sport of sailing in the safest possible environment.
All participation in onshore or water-based physical activities which include proper handling and storage of boat/equipment have their own risks which can be prevented by following all guidelines, safety measures and procedure enactment issued by the Singapore Sailing Federation.

By accepting and registering or renewal of the boat storage rental, you have agreed to and understood the terms and conditions, as well as rules and regulations, shown above.
