Opti Sailor Course Weekend Training Programme 2020
The focus of this course is to get students to be competent sailors in the Optimist boat. Sailors who have completed this level will have the basic skills to participate in normal Optimist sailing activities under proper supervision.
Course Syllabus
- Tacking and Gybing
- Rigging
- Launching and Recovery
- Introduction to basic racing rules
- Sail Trimming
- Five essentials of sailing
- Polishing up basic sailing skills
Pre-requisites:
– Attained Opti Junior or Get Kids Afloat (GKA)

We only have 10 slots available for Opti Sailor Course (Term 1) which is currently full already. Apologies for a very limited number of pax that we can accommodate as we need to consider our quota.
You may want to check directly to SAFYC and Changi Sailing Club as they’re running the same course.
